UI/UX Case Study : Increase users by revamped Line VOOM and also added search features

This project is the final project when participating in the government programme from the Ministry of Education and Culture to join the Kampus Merdeka at Zenius in Batch 3.

Overview

We know that LINE chat is very famous even in Indonesia because of its excellent chat features compared to other applications at that time. But did you know that LINE chat users are decreasing every year, is there a problem with the application? let's explore it.

Problem

after I did some research from the google play store and also asked people who have used LINE, most of the problems are that the appearance is confusing and also the features that are provided are too crowded.

Challenges

finding the right solution for creating new features and also redesigning simpler ones.

What I achieved in this project

1. I aimed to boost user activity through a comprehensive redesign and the introduction of a new feature.

2. I streamlined the user flow to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience, making it easier for users to adopt and engage with the new functionality.

Conclusion

Users are motivated to return to using LINE, as the main issue identified was the complexity of the interface and features, which led to user confusion.

Successes:

1. A visually appealing design.

2. A user-friendly experience.

Feedback:

1. Implementing a 'Save Post' feature to further enhance user engagement.

2. Design can be further improved.

3. Users still often miss-click.
